Chill puzzle game with art
Mega Mosaic is a premium puzzle game developed by Mark Ffrench. It's a chill and casual puzzler that takes inspiration from classic Minesweeper for its gameplay. In it, players are tasked with solving a grand 250x250 grid puzzle in small chunks and increments to uncover a secret work of art lying underneath it all.
Hidden artwork
One way to describe Mega Mosaic is being an exploded Minesweeper game with a surprise twist. In it, you are challenged to solve a huge 250x250 grid puzzle that is divided into small challenges. Gameplay mechanics are similar to that of the classic title. The experience is rounded out by charming pixel graphics and a chill lo-fi soundtrack.
The hidden magic of the game is when you start accumulating solved sections of the grid, an image slowly reveals itself to you and this is where the aforementioned twist lies as it's actually an art painting made using a mosaic drawing technique, hence the name of the game. Now, these types of puzzles can be quite challenging, so it would have been nice if it had accessibility features like an undo function.
Compelling but tough
In conclusion, Mega Mosaic is a nice twist to the classic Minesweeper formula and literally expands the gameplay. The mechanics are familiar and the game is easy to get into but is quite difficult to master. If you're up to the challenge, then give this one a try.
